Elizabeth Hendrickson was bitten by the acting bug as a child when she began starring in plays in the fourth grade (via SoapHub). She later auditioned for the children’s show “The Mickey Mouse Club” (which gave stars such as Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling, and Britney Spears their start). Though ultimately wasn’t cast, she was considered a finalist. Hendrickson followed her love of musical theater to college where she attended both Syracuse University and Fordham University.

The actress got her first big break in the industry when she was cast on the ABC soap “All My Children” in 2001. Though she would go on to guest star on several popular crime shows like “Law & Order: SVU,” “Medium,” “Cold Case”, “CSI: Miami,” “Criminal Minds,” “NCIS: New Orleans,” and “Major Crimes,” Hendrickson has spent most of her career on daytime (via CBS). Elizabeth Hendrickson landed her first major television role as Frankie Stone on “All My Children.” Though the character only appeared for a few short months, Hendrickson would ultimately remain on the soap for several years in another role. Frankie was first introduced to the show as a runaway, and quickly found herself on the bad side of Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) after she was nearly run over by the older woman, who was then crucified by the tabloids (via Soap Central). Erica’s daughter Bianca Montgomery (Eden Riegel) was then tasked with befriending Frankie to do damage control, but the two teenagers soon found themselves attracted to each other. Erica pretended to be supportive of their burgeoning romance, though behind the scenes she attempted to frame Frankie for drug use to break them up.

Ultimately, things went south between the women when Bianca caught Frankie kissing J.R. Chandler (Jonathan Bennett). Erica was furious at Frankie for breaking her daughter’s heart and vowed to kill her for what she’d done. Not long afterward, Frankie was found dead. Surprisingly, Erica wasn’t the culprit, though she did try to take the fall for the crime, believing that Bianca was the real killer (via popmatters). Fans loved Bianca and Frankie so much that they caused an uproar when the character was killed off after just a few months (via Soap Central). After being incessantly hounded by their fanbase, the soap decided to bring Hendrickson back as a new character, effectively launching her career.

On a brief hiatus from “The Young and the Restless” in 2018, Elizabeth Hendrickson joined the cast of “General Hospital” as Port Charles District Attorney Margaux Dawson (via Soaps in Depth). The character was introduced with the intention of taking down mobster Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his criminal organization, which didn’t stop her from having a romantic interest in his friend Drew Cain (then Billy Miller). It’s later revealed that Margaux’s vendetta against Sonny was personal because she believed he had killed her father, attorney Vincent Marino, 30 years earlier. Unfortunately, Sonny was able to prove to Margaux that her own mother had Vincent killed because she was having an affair with the mobster he was hired to defend in court.

Margaux also found herself invested in the group Dawn of Day, which she would later find out was a predatory cult run by Hank “Shiloh” Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). Though she was originally intrigued by the organization due to its self-proclaimed charity work, she was soon provided with evidence proving that Shiloh was actually a sexual predator using Dawn of Day as a cover for his actions (via Soap Central). She made it clear that she intended to prosecute him for his crimes and the cult leader then blackmailed her by threatening to expose the “pledge” she’d given to join the group — a document containing damning personal information. However, Sonny was able to obtain the pledge and save Margaux from disgrace. Margaux ultimately decided to step down as district attorney and leave Port Charles, but not before making sure Drew knew about Shiloh’s involvement in his memory swap debacle.

Over the next few years, Bianca and Maggie grew closer together and fans pushed heavily for the two characters to have a romantic relationship. Viewers and critics alike were disappointed when “AMC” continued to pair Maggie with men when the two female characters clearly had a deep connection, suggesting that the show was resistant to airing a same-sex relationship (via AfterEllen).

Maggie did eventually confess her love to Bianca and Hendrickson garnered critical acclaim for her authentic and emotional portrayal of a young woman struggling with her sexuality. Chloe soon became pregnant by Billy Abbott (then Billy Miller), but attempted to pass the baby off as Cane Ashby’s, though he was engaged to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) at the time. Cane married Chloe instead and was furious when he discovered the truth about the baby Delia’s paternity. They divorced, but Cane still signed the birth certificate in hopes that he could get custody of the little girl for revenge. Billy then married Chloe to help boost her chances of keeping her daughter, but luckily Cane backed off. However, years later tragedy struck when Adam Newman (then Michael Muhney) struck the 7-year-old Delia with his car, resulting in her death (via Soap Central).
